Timothy Guy Paul Rowan "Tim" Hautekiet is the current voice actor for Edd as of March 25th 2012. He hosts his own successful YouTube channel. He was chosen to be the new voice of Edd after being auditioned along with many other people whom Thomas Ridgewell thought would fit the character. The 'voice changer' idea, was to give a reason for Edd's sudden change of voice.
